We Are Participating in KY Gives Day!

Share on:

The Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky and its affiliates will be participating in KY Gives Day, an annual day of online giving, on May 7, 2024. On this day, the online event will be active and accepting donations from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM. Anyone can make a difference in the Appalachian region by making a donation, no matter how big or small.

Each of the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky’s 11 affiliates will have a particular goal for this fundraising event, targeting a specific need in the counties that they serve. Each affiliate serves as a source of leadership, commitment, and philanthropic giving in the community and works to establish or cultivate philanthropic funds for broad charitable purposes within specific geographic boundaries. These affiliate community foundations represent a trust in the Appalachian community and a commitment to its future. KY Gives Day will provide the affiliates with the opportunity to raise money for important causes in their communities.

Those wishing to better their community, both now and in the future, can visit https://www.kygives.org/ to make a donation to an affiliate community foundation of their choosing on May 7, 2024. While early donations open on May 1, 2024 and end on May 8, 2024, only donations made on May 7, 2024 will count towards the donor leaderboard and give donors a chance to win prizes. If you have any questions about making a donation to the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky on KY Gives Day, please contact Crystal Hall at crystal@appalachianky.org.

The Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky is a 501(c)(3) non-profit created by and for the people of Appalachian Kentucky. Their goal is to help make a positive impact on the Appalachian region through community building and philanthropy. The Foundation approaches grantmaking from a commitment to keeping the power, wealth, and decisions with people rooted in these communities; by sharing experience and expertise, it provides a platform for communities to speak for themselves.
