Mission
Building a healthier environment in Breathitt County that encourages making healthier choices for our families and children.

Impact
The Breathitt County Community Health Foundation is organized for charitable and educational purposes to encourage active lifestyles and improve dietary habits, particularly for the children in Breathitt County.
The Community Foundation assists and supports development of terrain adaptations such as hiking trails, sidewalks, bike paths and boat ramps. Working with a host of community agencies and groups the BCCHF promotes and supports community health and fitness.
Grants Awarded
Our most recent project was funded from the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky, and focused on obesity reduction in Breathitt County. It was a collaboration of Breathitt County and City Schools and the City of Jackson Parks and Recreation.
We also continue programs that include sponsoring run/jog/walks, a Youth Council, educational programs in the schools about nutrition and healthy eating.
