Whitesburg, KY, June 21 — The Letcher County Community Foundation hosted their second annual Summer Solstice Sunset 5K & Walk on Saturday, June 21, 2025. The event took place at the scenic James Wiley Memorial River Park. They had a fantastic turnout, with participants of all ages coming from various communities to take part, including many out-of-state participants.
Timed to coincide with the longest day of the year, the Summer Solstice Sunset event brought together community members and visitors to celebrate health, wellness, and the spirit of summer. The vibrant atmosphere, paired with a beautiful summer sunset, made for a memorable evening of fun and fitness for all.
