Appalachian Rises Telethon Brings Kentuckians Together to Raise $1.2M for Eastern Kentucky

The over $1.9M in funding raised for flood relief efforts included $1.2M taken in during the March 8th Appalachia Rises Telethon that aired on WYMT and WKYT.

The over $1.9M in funding raised for flood relief efforts included $1.2M taken in during the March 8th Appalachia Rises Telethon that aired on WYMT and WKYT. Launched by Morehead-based AgTech company AppHarvest and Foundation donors Joe and Kelly Craft, the Appalachia Rises initiative united more than a half-dozen organizations in the days following the flooding, including the Foundation for Appalachian Kentucky, Appalachian Impact Fund, and Appalachians for Appalachia.
