fundraising event in front of courthouse with many people

All For Benny III is a Tremendous Success

Share on:

The third annual All For Benny Downtown Dinner and Gala, sponsored by the Clinton County Community Foundation, was a tremendous success Saturday night.

Packing the dinner table that stretched the entire length of Cumberland Street on the courthouse square, over 120 people enjoyed a meal, music, benefit auction and an evening of congregating and fellowship. Those in attendance also heard remarks made by Foundation Secretary/Treasurer Al Gibson as well as a brief presentation by Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame Member Al Cross, who calls Albany and Clinton County “home”, having been raised here and graduating from Clinton County High School in the early 1970’s. Speaking about the importance of supporting small town roots and community, a transcript of Cross’ remarks can be found in this week’s Clinton County News, on page 12. The All For Benny Gala proceeds will benefit the now under construction new Farmer’s Market just north of the courthouse square on Washington Street.
