Perry County Community Foundation decided to change things up a bit by trying something new! Instead of our annual Run for the Hills Charity Challenge and 5K race, we are creating a new program called “Supporting Success in Perry County.” This new grant process is still geared toward supporting organizations in Perry County but the process will be slightly different.
It begins with a competitive grant application, followed by a three-month fundraising campaign for the selected organizations. During this time, those organizations will work to raise money on behalf of their causes. Money raised during the campaign by each of the participating organizations will be matched dollar-for-dollar based on their approved award amounts (up to $10,000) by the Perry County Community Foundation. The money raised, as well as the match provided by the Foundation, can be used for daily operations, project or program support or endowment building. Any IRS-designated 501(c)3 non-profit organization working in Perry County, county or city government entity, public institutions of higher education or independent school districts working within Perry County may apply.
Please submit all applications via email to Erica Knight at- Erica(@)appalachianky.org by August 1, 2019. If you have any questions contact Erica at the email address above or call 606-439-1357.
